is tequila known to give blackouts?

i’ve never had a tequila shot before this weekend and right after i took a shot of it i blacked out. this never happens to me when i drink jagermeister or vodka, i can down like 3 shots without getting tipsy, but tequila just made me black out and not remember anything from that night. that’s never happened to me before.
