Recommendations for someone new to alcohol?

I recently turned 18 (the legal drinking age in my country) and I’m looking to try out a bunch of different drinks. I never really partied or drank before I was 18 so most things are new to me. Could you recommend some drinks (wine, spirits, seltzers, cocktails, anything) that are quintessential or that I should try as a new drinker?
