Why is vodka the only alcohol my body will tolerate?

I’m not a big drinker because I dislike how it makes me feel physically. I flush halfway through a beer, will sit with alcohol in my stomach for hours and hours and then puke even consuming 1 drink per hour, and often get nausea and migraines. I generally can only have 1-2 drinks before feeling ill. I largely prefer smoking pot.

Recently, I went out and drank a decent amount ; multiple shots and cocktails, all with vodka. I was actually fine, maybe mildly hungover but I had also indulged in small amounts of a couple other substances.

I realize vodka would make most people more likely to get sick than beer or wine but I swear its the opposite for me. I feel like vodka is maybe “my” alcohol, or at least the only one I can truly tolerate.

Why is this? Is it due to the relative “purity” of the alcohol?
