Why does my neck and shoulders always hurt when i drink?

It never happens if i sip, but if i ever actually drink the neck and shoulder pain is unbearable. Its my one day off and i drank half a beatbox in one sitting and the pain is coming on. Id just like to know the reason behind this :’)
