Review: Vaqit Vodka Soda Cocktails, Complete Lineup

Summer sipping on the beach, the patio, or the tailgate now affords a dizzying array of ready-to-drink cocktail options to meet all tastes. On the lighter side, we’ve got Vaqit, a simple line of vodka-soda drinks with a low alcohol content of only 4%. These drinks are squarely designed for health-conscious people who want to enjoy a summer drink without getting wasted and without taking in too many calories along the way. Available in Clementine Pineapple, Strawberry Guava, and White Peach Ginger flavors, all three Vaqit flavors contain no added sugar, no added sodium, and ring in at less than 100 calories per can.

4% abv each.

Vaqit Clementine Pineapple – Understated citrus tang and light pineapple fragrance plus light effervescence mark this simple, easy-drinking cocktail. Not too sweet, but with little to no alcohol on the palate, it’s an inoffensive, forgettable cocktail. B / $13 per four-pack of 12 oz cans

Vaqit Strawberry Guava – Honestly, I only have any idea what fruit flavors this is supposed to represent because it says so on the can. I would just call it mysteryberry and be done. Slightly more bitterness than the Clementine Pineapple, with a clean finish and virtually no aftertaste. B / $13 per four-pack of 12 oz cans

Vaqit White Peach Ginger – The only one of the three to really hit the palate with notable sweetness, this one is slightly cloying and overtly peachy on the nose. While the packaging touts natural fruit flavors, the flavor profile smacks of synthetic peach and lingers in a way the others don’t. C / $13 per four-pack of 12 oz cans
