Too many drinks

I haven’t drank in 5 years and I’m in my early 40s. Tonight I drank with my roommate and had 5 shots of vodka that I slammed down, but I could not walk and kept falling down every time I moved. My roommate would not let me go near the stove to cook food and I was hungry. I did 2 hours before that have a bottle of Code Red Mountain Dew so I’m not sure if that did anything to the alcohol. My head is spinning when I’m laying down and it’s hard to fall asleep.

I had 7 shots the last weekend and didn’t feel as drunk. So does alcohol have a different effect every time?
