For the first time, I’m out in a bar drinking alone after failing an exam. Is that bad?

Long story short I’ve just flunked the final assessment of a course I worked very hard at. Passed 3 exams and failed at the last hurdle. So now for the first time I’m drinking alone in a town 300 miles from my home. I don’t have an addictive personality so it’s not going to be a regular thing, but I’m beyond the point of caring if people see me alone and pity me. Quite frankly I need a good drink and there’s a weird freedom in doing something you wouldn’t usually do.
