Gin makes me go insane, but not other alcohols

I am at the worst, a sloppy drunk when I’m drinking. Like the worst thing I’ll do is spill all my food. But gin? Whenever I drink gin, my entire personality changes and I become a complete fucking monster. Manipulative, aggressive, violent and scary. My bf and I drank gin one night and he just acted goofy. He told me (I have no memory but I didn’t drink enough to black out) that I tried burning him with a cigarette, stabbed his carpet, and smashed a wine glass. I profusely apologized and he calmly said “I know it wasn’t you im not upset, but you’re never having gin again.” Wtf Reddit? No other liquor has this effect on me.
