High Achool Tolerance

I don’t drink frequently but when I do I build a tolerance extreamly quickly. As a student I don’t drink but when I come home I drink with family and friends. The first night home a 12oz 11% will get me lightly buzzed. By the 4th day of having 1-3 drinks at night I am trying to get somewhat drunk tonight. I am 8 oz of tequila and 2 glasses of wine in and I’m still only buzzed all within 30min. Also earlier in the night I had another of those high alchol beers and it did not affect me at all. By this point It takes a large and excessive amount of alchol to get me even close to tipsy. I am a big guy 6’3″ 250+ lbs. Why am I building my tolerance this quickly?
